Here you can learn more about the step-by-step process of how to order a kitchen from us – from the first idea to the finished result.

When you contact us, we ask you to upload the measurements of your room in order for us to move forward with your project. You are welcome to use our simple measuring guide for support.

You’ll also receive access to our digital moodboard, where you can share your preferences regarding materials, styles, colours and other details with us.

Under kitchen inspiration, you will find our most popular kitchen styles, whether you are looking for a classic Shaker kitchen, an elegant frame kitchen in wood, or a modern minimalist kitchen.

Your personal kitchen designer will now contact you to schedule a digital start-up meeting. At the meeting, you will go through your thoughts and preferences, and your kitchen designer will guide you through all the choices and possibilities available.

You can prepare for the meeting by considering in advance which kitchen style and design you like, and if you have any questions.
All our kitchen styles can be combined, and we always offer a choice of color as well as a range of different treatments for our wooden kitchens.

After the start-up meeting, we start the design work, and you will receive a well-developed design sketch along with a quotation based on your preferences, thoughts, and specific measurements. This forms the basis for the next step – choosing any additional options.

All our kitchen designers have extensive experience and are experts in optimising the kitchen both in terms of aesthetics and functionality, all to create a kitchen where you can thrive and enjoy living for a long time.

At this point, you are welcome to visit our Concept Showrooms, where you can find inspiration from a curated selection of some of our most sought-after kitchens, as well as explore different materials, colours, and options.

If you prefer to have material and color samples sent to you, that is of course also possible.

Our Concept Showrooms are unmanned as part of our digital strategy. You can book your visit through your kitchen designer, and you will then get exclusive access to our showroom during your reserved time.

Now it's time to plan the details and any options, countertops, and appliances for your kitchen. Your kitchen designer adjusts the design sketch and quotation based on your discussions, and if you then want to proceed, you pay a design fee of 7,500 SEK, which will later be deducted from the total cost of the kitchen when ordering.

Options
We offer a range of optional features for our kitchens, such as solid drawers and customised drawer inserts in oak and ash, veneered interiors in cabinets, etc. Your kitchen designer will help you create an interior as beautiful as the exterior. Read more about our drawers and cabinets.
Countertop
For our customers in Sweden, and to certain areas in Norway and Denmark, we also offer a wide range of countertops, from marble and limestone to composite materials and stainless steel. Read more about our countertops here.
For deliveries outside Sweden, Norway, and Denmark, we are currently unable to deliver countertops.
Appliances
For customers in Sweden, we offer appliances from several of the largest appliance suppliers such as Gaggenau, Miele, Siemens, Ilve, Smeg, Bora, Fjäråskupan, and others. For deliveries to other countries, we are currently unable to offer appliances.
Design fee
When we start planning your kitchen in detail, we charge a design fee of 7,500 SEK. We then adjust your final preferences, finalise the details, and then together with you set a schedule for the delivery of the kitchen.
The fee is a way for us to distinguish the customers who are ready to order a kitchen, making it possible to prioritise these over the customers who are not yet completely ready. The fee is of course deducted from the final invoice.

When you feel satisfied with the design of your kitchen and all options have been made, it is time to order the kitchen. When ordering, you pay a partial payment of 30% of the total amount. The kitchen then begins to be manufactured in our carpentry studio outside Gothenburg. The delivery time is approximately 8 weeks, subject to high order volume. We offer a 10-year warranty on frames, drawers, and fittings.

Ordering
Your kitchen designer takes care of everything regarding the ordering of the kitchen, and as soon as the order is placed, a place in our production is reserved. When it's time, your kitchen starts to be manufactured in our own carpentry outside Gothenburg.
Delivery
Since all our kitchens are built from scratch and are completely unique, we do not have kitchens "in stock". All our kitchens are built only when the order has been placed, so-called "on demand". The delivery time is approximately 8 weeks (after the order has been placed until the kitchen is delivered to you).
Installation
Regarding installation, we always recommend that your installer has a review with the responsible kitchen designer at Nordiska Kök. This allows the opportunity to go through details and ask important questions before the installation begins. We are of course always available for questions or thoughts along the way.

About Nordiska Kök

Nordiska Kök was founded in 2017 with a clear vision – it should not be complicated or expensive to build a customised quality kitchen. We wanted to offer our customers the freedom to choose design, measurements, and color according to their specific needs and preferences.

To succeed in this, we chose to challenge the traditional kitchen industry that had been building and selling kitchens in the same way for years. By digitising everything from inspiration to customer meetings, and not using resellers or manned showrooms, we make it possible to keep costs down without compromising on quality.

Today, we are proud to offer our Scandinavian design kitchens, built from scratch in our carpentry outside Gothenburg, to customers throughout Europe.

Locally produced in our carpentry studio in Sweden, all our kitchens are built entirely from scratch based on our customers' needs and wishes. All of our kitchens are available in your choice of color and a variety of materials. Each cabinet and drawer are carefully adapted in size and design to create that exact, bespoke aesthetic.
