A gorgeous, linear frame kitchen in dark stained oak in a fantastic apartment in Gothenburg. The house was originally built in 1894 and constructed in a classic French Chateau style. Together with the owner, we created a beautiful and rustic wood kitchen. A bespoke top cabinet with an asymmetrical design creates a stylish yet muted contrast within the otherwise minimalist space.

The dark-stained oak frame kitchen features a worktop made from locally limestone from Kinnekulle. This graceful stone exhibits variations in grain and color to give it a vibrant and vigorous expression. A backsplash of 10 cm was left at the rear edge of the worktop — a nice but also eminently practical touch.
The cabinets and walls were painted in a matching gray hue to create harmony and calm in the kitchen.
The preserved structure retains its unique character from its historic construction in 1894.
The warm oak creates a soft contrast with the gray tones of the cabinets and the black vent from Fjäråskupan.
