Within the Oscar properties project “Katarina Västra School” in Stockholm, we’ve created a kitchen with a sleek minimalist design. The sober gray-beige hue present in the house’s magnificent stairwell serves as the elegant color of the space. A hidden grip along the top of the doors, a smart storage solution, and a built-in fridge and freezer create a uniform and classic look while making this a truly modern kitchen.
The kitchen features a limestone table crafted by Public studios. The table provides more space which can be vital in smaller apartments. The table works well to prepare food for a large gathering — or you can use it to sit and relax while working from home.

Sometimes the most influential details in a kitchen are the ones that are absent. For instance, by removing the handles and making all the cabinets the same width, the space is composed of sleek and symmetrical lines.

The various functional elements and appliances such as the dishwasher are concealed behind matching cabinets. The fridge is located next to the kitchen underneath one of the apartment's mezzanines.

The stairwell in Katarina Västra school was carefully restored. It was revitalized with other elegant details in the form of numerous square details that were inspired by the original architect's preserved sketches and drawers.
