Nordiska Kök Kitchen Atelier is located within Brdr. Krügers Flagship Store at Bredgade 28 in the heart of Copenhagen.

A worktop in Gotland Bro limestone adds a warm, tactile presence in the Kitchen Atelier.

The space is conceived as an exclusive hybrid: part laboratory, part showroom, and part workspace. While it serves to present products, it is equally designed as a space for exploration. A setting where ideas can be tested, materials experienced and craftsmanship understood up close – a layered approach that reflects how both Nordiska Kök and Brdr. Krüger work: hands-on, iterative, and deeply connected to process.

The interior is designed as a cohesive whole where each element contributes to a unified and harmonious expression, while materials, design and craftsmanship take centre stage. A wood fiber carpet from Woodnotes adds subtle warmth.

A custom material shelving unit, crafted from wood, steel, glass and terrazzo, plays a central role in the space. The Ambra Double Pendant by Studio David Pompa creates a cohesive material dialogue, echoing the terrazzo surfaces in the display cabinet behind. Ceramics from Tadaimacph.

The kitchen interior is developed by Nordiska Kök in close collaboration with Danish interior design studio Nathalie Schwer, forming a space where materiality, proportion and function come together in an elegant atmosphere. Furniture pieces by Brdr. Krüger brings refined comfort to the setting with timeless beauty and thoughtful craftsmanship.

– The ambition has been to create a cohesive spatial narrative, where kitchens and furniture are not experienced separately, but as part of one shared design language, says interior designer Nathalie Schwer.

The material palette is carefully composed to feel contemporary, yet warm and grounded. It sharpens the architectural clarity of the space while giving each object room to stand out and be appreciated. At the same time, it highlights the versatility of the designs; how they can move between contexts without losing their identity.

The room dividers are also crafted by Nordiska Kök, using a recurring material palette that contributes to the cohesive expression throughout the space. Rug by Woodnotes, and furniture by Brdr. Krüger.
