A tip is to pin pictures you like on Pinterest, save beautiful images from Instagram, and browse kitchen inspiration on our website to find the style you're looking for.

2. Planning

Before diving into the kitchen renovation, it's important to make a plan. Begin by listing your needs and desires and what's important to you. Measure the walls of the room where the kitchen will be located and check where the water and electricity are installed. Also, consider the schedule - when do you want your new kitchen to be ready?

6. Create a temporary kitchen

Before the new kitchen is delivered, the old kitchen should be removed. During the renovation itself, it may be a good idea to set up a temporary kitchen space. Use simple kitchen utensils like a kettle and microwave to manage everyday meals. It may also be wise to plan ahead. Cook meals and freeze them. Everything that simplifies everyday life is appreciated during renovation. If you have the opportunity to move the refrigerator and freezer to another room in the meantime, it will facilitate the situation.

7. Organize and keep tidy

Pack away what is not needed during the renovation and keep only the most necessary items available. Well-organized storage minimizes the mess that can easily occur during renovation and makes life easier. A small tip is to try to keep as good order as possible and stick to daily routines so that the kitchen renovation becomes as smooth as possible.

8. The new kitchen is delivered

During the week that you and your kitchen designer have agreed upon, the new kitchen will be delivered. Make sure you have read through the information sent to you via email and prepare for delivery by laying cardboard on the floor, ensuring you are at home when the delivery takes place, and that the entire order is brought indoors and protected from moisture.

9. Installation of the new kitchen

Now you're starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel in your kitchen renovation, and your new kitchen is beginning to be installed. Ensure that the craftsman/carpenter who is installing the kitchen has experience in assembling custom-built kitchens so that your kitchen will be precisely tailored to the room and measurements as much as possible.

10. Have the vision clear

We know that sometimes it can feel like an eternity to renovate, but hang in there! When you take that morning cup of coffee in your new kitchen, it will be worth it. You've finally got a kitchen you've chosen entirely on your own and that you'll be able to enjoy for a long time to come.

How long does it take to renovate a kitchen?

Renovating a kitchen usually takes a couple of weeks. The old kitchen needs to be demolished, walls may need to be painted, sometimes new flooring needs to be laid, electrical wiring may need to be redone, and when everything is ready, the new kitchen needs to be installed, and all appliances need to be in place along with the countertop. It's good to plan to be without a stove for a while. If you have the opportunity to move the freezer and refrigerator to another room in the meantime, it will make it easier so that you can store food at home that you can heat in the microwave during the renovation.
