In a beautiful 1920's house next to the famous Humlegård garden in Stockholm, Nordiska Kök has created an elegant kitchen in warm oak and soft beige painted cabinets. The warm tones of the characteristic kitchen, together with the black contrasting details creates an updated and modern feel while at the same time harmonizing with the apartment and the beautiful original details.
The cushions in the bespoke kitchen sofa have been upholstered in black leather and on one of the sides a café table has been mounted with inspiration taken from outdoor cafes and bars. Lamp and handles by Buster and punch.
The inside of the cabinet and the solid oak drawers matches the rest of the kitchen with its dark brown oak and black Nero Marquina marble.
To get an airy feel, oak doors, stained in the same dark brown tone as the original floor was choosen. Black lamps from Buster and punch.
The dark Nero Marquina marble creates a contrast to the apartments original 20s details.
To add space, the cabinets ends before reaching the wall. In addition to making the room more spacious, and the beautiful curtains can fall freely, it also gives the kitchen a restaurant vibe.
The practical and beautiful pocket-door cabinet gives the kitchen a completely different look when the doors are open or closed.
The inside of the pocket dipper cabinet and the solid oak drawers matches the rest of the kitchen.
