Ordering a Nordiska Kök kitchen for delivery to the UK

Designing and ordering a bespoke kitchen from another country naturally raises a few questions. Below, we’ve gathered the most common topics our UK customers ask about — so you can feel confident and informed throughout the entire process.

Can I order a Nordiska Kök kitchen from the UK?

Yes. Our bespoke kitchens are crafted in Sweden, and we regularly design and deliver bespoke kitchens from Sweden to customers across the UK, including England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

Do I need to pay VAT and customs when ordering from the UK?

For orders delivered outside the EU, quotations are provided excluding VAT. UK VAT is paid by the customer in the UK in connection with the import. A VAT invoice will be sent to you shortly before the order is shipped. The applicable VAT rate is determined in accordance with UK regulations.

There are no additional charges for customs handling. All customs administration is already included in the shipping cost, meaning you do not need to arrange anything separately.

How is delivery to the UK handled?

We arrange safe and reliable delivery from Sweden to your address in the UK. We take full responsibility for the delivery of your kitchen and ensure it is insured throughout the journey. We also provide guidance on how to inspect your delivery on arrival and what to do in case of transport damage.

What is the lead time for a kitchen to the UK?

Your kitchen leaves our carpentry studio approximately 7–10 weeks after the order is placed.

In addition to this, delivery from Sweden to the UK can take up to 15 days, depending on your location. Before delivery, you will receive information about when your order is dispatched, along with an estimated delivery time.

Who installs the kitchen in the UK?

Installation is usually carried out by a local UK kitchen installer of your choice. We provide comprehensive assembly instructions and arrange a digital installation meeting with you and your installer to review the plans together and ensure everything is clear before installation begins.

What warranties are included?

A 10-year warranty is provided for kitchen fittings, including hinges, drawers and fittings from Blum, as well as for cabinet frames. Other goods and interior details are covered by a 3-year material warranty.

Each kitchen is fully bespoke, and pricing depends on the size of your kitchen, as well as your design choices and materials. Your quotation clearly outlines all items and costs, so you have full transparency from the outset.
To give you an approximate estimate for one of our kitchens, we've provided some pricing examples.
At present, we only supply appliances for projects in Sweden and Denmark. For UK projects, we find that sourcing appliances locally is the most practical solution.
We do not supply worktops for UK projects. Instead, we find that sourcing worktops locally is the most practical solution. Our designers are always happy to guide you and advise on the best worktop for your kitchen – tailored to your needs, preferences and the overall design.
