For an apartment in Oslo, we designed a bespoke kitchen combining stainless steel with dark wood in a minimalist design. Along one wall, stainless steel base cabinets are topped with a slim worktop in the same material. Above, an open wall shelf in dark oak with softly rounded ends creates a light and airy feel. A bespoke floor-to-ceiling storage unit, painted in Soft Cotton, extends from the hallway through the living room and into the kitchen, creating a seamless flow throughout the apartment. The kitchen is completed by elegant dark oak cabinetry in Blackbrown Oak, concealing the fridge, freezer and oven while providing generous storage.
A minimalist stainless steel kitchen where clean lines and sleek cabinet fronts create a pared-back aesthetic. At Nordiska Kök, different kitchen styles and materials can be combined to create a truly individual kitchen.
A dark oak tall cabinet houses additional integrated storage, and a fridge, freezer and oven from Asko.
Stainless steel base cabinets are paired with a matching worktop from Purus, creating a cohesive and minimalist kitchen design.
The slim stainless steel worktop is designed to appear as though it is floating – a considered detail that brings a sense of lightness to the kitchen.
The stainless steel base cabinets are designed to feel more like a refined piece of furniture than conventional kitchen cabinetry. An open dark oak shelf provides space for carefully selected objects while adding a light and airy feel to the kitchen.
Stainless steel fronts reflect the natural daylight, creating subtle shifts in light across the kitchen. Hob from Bora.
Stainless steel is paired with dark wood and textured limewashed walls – a material palette that gives the kitchen a warm yet pared-back character.
Concealed handles create clean, uninterrupted lines, reinforcing the kitchen’s minimalist expression.
Behind the smooth, light-coloured cabinet fronts, a dark oak interior in Blackbrown Oak is subtly revealed. Crockery and glassware stand out beautifully against the dark timber, which also creates a warm contrast with the cabinet’s pale exterior – a considered detail revealed only when the doors are opened.
The bespoke storage cabinetry, painted in the soft white shade Soft Cotton, features rounded corners that lend a gentle, refined character and create an elegant contrast with the stainless steel kitchen.
